“USB read error. <reason>”
The Windows driver returned an error from a read operation. The Windows error text
follows.Thiserrorcanoccuriftheunitispowereddownorunpluggedduringoperation.
“USB write error. <reason>”
The Windows driver returned an error from a write operation. The Windows error text
follows.Thiserrorcanoccuriftheunitispowereddownorunpluggedduringoperation.
"No available Achronix Bitporter products with matching serial number found
on USB port."
InenumeratingthevarioushardwareattachedtotheUSBport,atleastoneAchronixBitporter
podwasfoundbutthepodwiththespecifiedserialnumberwasnotfou n dorwasalreadyin
use. Check the serial number (be sure to enter it exactly as shown on the serial number
sticker),then
checktheconnectionandbesurethePOWERLEDisilluminatedbeforestarting
the software.See“Bitporter Pod NamingConventions”in Chapter4–Usingthe Achronix
STAPLPlayerformoredetails.
Ethernet Connection Errors:
ThereareanumberofnetworkrelatederrormessagesthatcanoccurduringtheTCP/IPand
Ethernetsetupprocessandoperation:
"No available Achronix Bitporter products with matching serial number found
on local subnet."
The program attempted to connect to an Ethernet pod specifying a serial number (e.g.
“net40XXX”),andnoAchronixBitporterpodwithamatchingserialnumberwasfoundonthe
local subnet. Check the connection and ensure that the COMM LED has finished blinking
(after powerup) before starting the software. If the
pod’s TCP/IP settings were manually
configured,verifythattheprovidedsettingsarecorrect.VerifywiththeSystemAdministrator
thatthepodisonthesamelocalsubnetasthePCatte mptingtoconnect.See“BitporterPod
NamingConventions”inChapter 4 UsingtheAchronixSTAPLPlayerformoredetails.
"No available Achronix Bitporter product found at supplied network address."
TheprogramattemptedtoconnecttoanEthernetpodspecifyinganIPaddressbutnoBitporter
pod was found at that address. Check the connection and ensure that the COMM LED has
finished blinking (after powerup) before starting the software. If the pod’s TCP/IP settings
weremanuallyconfigured,verifythatthe
providedsetting sarecorrect.Ifthepodisconfigured
touseDHCP,verifywiththeSystemAdministratorthatthenetworkaddressiscorrect.
"Network device is not an Achronix Bitporter pod."
Theprogramattemptedtoconnecttoapodatthesuppliedaddress,butthehardwareatthat
locationdoesnot appeartobeaAchronixBitporterpod.VerifytheIPaddressofthedesired
podandthatthecorrectaddresswasspecified.
